Thriving, Not Just Surviving : 9 Actionable Ways to Brighten a Bad Day
We all have one of those days when we question our choices or just go what am I doing (with my life)? These are the little tricks I always used to, I would not say feel better instantly, but to eventually get out of the mess and emerge stronger.
Declutter: Not just superficial cleaning of surroundings, clear out social media, phone, and mind. Also, it might surprise you how much taking a shower calm those racing thoughts. Just give it a shot.
Try something new: Changes the rhythm of the day adds the element of excitement. Take this time to focus completely on the new task at hand to not think all day about, what is bothering you.
Avoid negative talk: Try not to stick around the places or people that bring back these emotions to you. New environment diverts your attention. If you must stay in the same place, try making a list of things you are grateful or look back on happy memories.
Be creative: Become a child and immerse yourself in your hobby. Our brain loves to learn new things.
Get some self-love: My idea of self-love is exercise. What is yours? Go ahead pamper yourself.
Meet with like-minded people: Or your Mentor. grab a coffee, chat about what went wrong, sharing decompresses you and puts you back on right track.
Do something scary: Builds self-confidence. Acts as a reminder that you can push yourself out of comfort zone, which I find quite reassuring.
Play it loud: Listening to music is the only trick in the list which I use without greed for outcome.
Jot down what you feel: Perhaps you cannot bring yourself to do any one of the above. Being with your thoughts with an intention of trying to figure out a solution, is the best thing.
PS: Not every day is a bed of roses but that should not let you not enjoy the day. Because life is too short to be wasted. Instead have an ice cream. 🙂
Until next time.

Ha ha.. Better with ice-cream 😅.
I like the points you mentioned and it could get hard sometimes to follow these and I am happy you also addressed what to do in that case.
